How Is The Swine Influenza Affecting Travel?

The H1N1 virus also known as the swine originated flu - may be causing some to rethink their traveling plans.
Jackie Turner is from Jerome but works in one of the states affected by the flu.
She says the company is telling her not to go down - if it's not a crucial matter.
Turner says, "The Company is not encouraging travel if it's not necessary right now. Since I work in California, I should go into the office, I’m not but I think this will all blow over pretty quickly."
Zach bay just returned home to Twin Falls from a vacation in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico- he says that masks were everywhere - and the procedure at the airport was quite the experience.
Bay says, "You had to run through a checklist, if you had any symptoms please check yes or no. They held a thermometer to your head to see if you had a temperature, if you had a temperature, then they took the precautions of seeing if you had the swine flu.
He says each traveler received a health alert notice regarding the symptoms of swine flu.
He said he already cold like symptoms heading into the trip.
Bay says, “I had quite a few of the symptoms but I definitely wanted to get back to the states to see my daughter so I marked no in those boxes and thought when I get back to the states that I would come and get a check-up here."
Officials say if you think you may have the flu to seek medical care.
