Mobile Food Bank stopped in Wendell

Idaho Food Bank officials say they are seeing a growing number of people in need of their services.

Thursday, the Food Bank’s ‘Mobile Food Pantry’ made a stop in Wendell to give out food boxes to those in need.

Local ‘Biggest Loser’ Contestant Aubrey Miller-Cheney was at the Wendell Fire Station to help hand out food. Cheney says she has taken advantage of this exact pantry in the past to help feed her family, and says it's important to have this service offered to the local area.

Chene said, "There are a lot of families with kids who go hungry and don't get the help from the state. People can come here and get as much food for their families so it's an important thing."

The distribution effort provides around 150 families with food once a month.
