An Islamic Community Center may be on its way to Twin Falls. The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on June 9th for a special use permit.

According to city documents currently the building is listed as a business and needs a special permit to operate as a religious facility.

The center will be used for Islamic religious ceremonies through out the week. The zoning request has already drawn one objection so far. City files indicate a resident in the area objects to the center because of concerns with traffic around the area.

If you remember the building was once the Osaka Massage and Spa. Two women had been arrested there for prostitution.
