Mini-Cassia motel robbed at gun point early Monday morning

The Tops Motel on the Burley Rupert Highway was robbed at gun-point early Monday morning. At approximately 9 Monday morning, Minidoka County Dispatch received the call from the female clerk that was on duty at Tops Motel.

According to the sheriff's office the male suspect knocked on the office door twice, and when the clerk opened it, she was confronted by a man with a hand gun - demanding money. When the clerk shoved the cash box at the suspect, he hit her over the head with the gun.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, between 5'5" and 5' 07", was wearing a black coat, black baggy jeans and a beanie, he was also wearing gloves and carried the gun in his left hand. The suspect is also described as having no facial hair and a wide nose.
