TF P&Z gives go-ahead for Islamic center

Twin Falls City Planning and Zoning Commission members have given the go-ahead for a local man to open an Islamic Cultural Center in the community.

Tuesday night’s unanimous vote approved the special permit needed to operate the facility. Supporters said the Islamic Community Center will give people a place to pray and to teach others about their religion.

The building that will be used for the facility at 455 Addison Avenue was previously a massage parlor where two women were arrested for prostitution
