Change of Plea hearing set for Bailey

A Murtaugh resident facing sexually related charges in Minidoka County 5th District Court 'may' change his plea to guilty.

62 year old Charles Leon Bailey was originally charged with 3-counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16-and criminal solicitation to commit a crime. He pled innocents to all charges in late November of last year.

Court records show bailey is now scheduled for a change of plea hearing on June 22nd. It's uncertain if bailey has been offered any sort of plea bargain in exchange for the change of plea.

Baileys bond had been reduced from 100- thousand dollars to 25-thousand-but later a judge revoked the bail-since he ruled Bailey hadn't honored the terms of his 'house arrest.' Prior to scheduling the change of plea hearing, Bailey was set for a jury trial starting next Wednesday.
