In court Monday morning was Richard Garza Pena Junior; he entered a not guilty plea on charges of aiding and abetting to robbery, aggravated battery, and one charge of grand theft. The charges stem from an incident where a Buhl man was stabbed with a screwdriver and a robbery on Grandview Drive.

Another man charged with multiple counts of injury to a child will go on trial first. Monday morning, attorneys for both Scott Lee Beede and another defendant, set to go on trial the same day, worked out an agreement. All parties agreed that Beede's trial should go first because he in custody. A jury trial is set for September. Beede is faced with 10 counts of injury to a child.

Last November, 62 year Charles Leon Bailey of Murtaugh was charged with two counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16; and criminal solicitation to commit a crime, all in Minidoka County. One of the solicitation charges was amended to lewd conduct, and Bailey pled not guilty to all counts in December. Today however, bailey pled guilty to one count of lewd conduct with a minor, in exchange for the other charges being dismissed. Bailey will be sentenced at 9 am on Monday, august 31st.
