3 men die in plane crash near Homedale

The plane left Jerome last Friday en route to Ilwaco, Wash., on
the southern Washington coast, but did not reach its destination.
The Civil Air Patrol spotted the wreckage Monday.

Deputies confirmed there were no survivors.

Family members identified the victims as the pilot, 33-year-old
Jed Mingo of Salt Lake City, his 25-year-old brother Jordan Mingo
of Lehi, Utah and their father, Ron Mingo of Hazelton, Idaho.

The recovery effort has been turned over to the Malheur County
sheriff's office since the crash site is in Oregon. Sgt. Rich
Harriman says the crash site is about five miles west of the
Idaho-Oregon border.
