At around 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Minidoka County Sheriff's Officials responded to a plane crash near the Bear Trap Cave Air Strip.

According to a report released by the department, Bob and Cindy Nestor were on their way to Pocatello on a return trip from Boise when the 1970 beech a-60 plane Nestor was piloting lost both engines.

According to the report, Nestor tried to land on the airstrip but the wind pushed the plane to the east. During landing the front landing gear was torn off and the plane flipped upside down.

Nestor said that he had not filed a flight plan.

Both were treated for minor injuries at the scene and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
