Emergency Response Teams Practice

Twin Falls

By Brittany Cooper

Over at the Twin Falls county fairgrounds this morning - the members of the community emergency response team worked on preparing for a real life disaster situation.

This may look like a scene of a disaster - and well that's what it is supposed to look like.
These were citizens of Twin Falls county who participated in a community emergency response team training.
And today they reviewed skills they learned through a federally approved 20 hour training through FEMA and homeland security.
No one wishes for a natural disaster or an emergency - but being prepared for one is necessary.
Filer Fire Department and quick response unit assisted in the training today and the Salvation Army provided the lunch.
The volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds but were here to be of support if a disaster or an emergency were to occur in the county.
