Man Arrested in Drive By Shooting

a Wendell man was arrested late last night in Jerome for an alleged drive by shooting.
According to the Jerome Police Chief, 22 year old Raymundo Luna-Gomez was arrested and charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle.
Just before 10pm Sunday night an officer heard gun shots around the maverick on East C. street in Jerome.
The officer responded and found a late nineties GMC Yukon leave the scene at a high rate of speed.
The officer was able to stop the vehicle which Luna Gomez was driving. A hand gun was also recovered at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle was not arrested.
According to the police chief they believe the intended target was another vehicle.
Several building were struck.
