Salgado being held without bond in connection with weekend homicide

An autopsy for a man killed this past weekend was schedule Tuesday. 25 year old Liopoldo Amescua was found dead when Cassia County Deputies arrived on scene late Saturday night near the Raft River exit.

Deputies were called out after a woman called 911 after claiming she and her boyfriend had been assaulted.

The Bingham County Sheriffs Office arrested, 22 year old Gerry Salgado; he is now being held at the Mini-Cassia Criminial Justice Center.

The Honorable Roy C. Holloway ordered Salgado to be held without bond.

So far no word yet on if or what Salgado is being charged with.
