Fire crews have spent most of the day mopping up a fire that started Sunday afternoon. Crews were called a little after 3:30 to the Power Station Fire near the Jerome Lincoln County line.

According to BLM officials it has been the largest fire so far this year with 35-hundred acres burned. Crews were also called to a smaller fire very close to the Power Station Fire.

The substation had been called in at about 5:30, it only consumed 72 acres and was extinguished about midnight.

A number of agencies from the area were called out to assist on the fire. About 85 firefighters worked on both blazes. Three air craft were also used to battle the two fires.
