Twin Falls County is updating its zoning and subdivision regulations, adopted by the board of twin falls county commissioners in 2008. Officials have come up with 4 priority topics needed to be addressed, and want to know what the public thinks.

Planning and Zoning Administrator Rick Dunn says, "We take that to the public and we say, ok, here's these 4, what else would you like? And then we take that back...they devise a program, and figure out best how to implement that process."

The next step in this process is in the hands of Logan Simpson Design, a consulting firm out of Salt Lake City.

Regional Manager Jim Carter said, "There are some things that need to be improved, and we need a lot of input on that, and the other question is: how well are these regulations going to carry us forward in the future in terms of achieving objectives we've set out for ourselves."

The firm will put together a plan addressing priorities for the new update; and it should be ready at the beginning of next year. Then, it will be back to more open houses, and finally, a public hearing.

For now, this was the last of three open houses held. But if you missed out,
