Oktoberfest Begins Today
Friday kicked off the start of Oktoberfest in downtown Twin Falls!
Everyone has a reason to come to the 31st annual Oktoberfest this year. In downtown Twin Falls, three blocks of activities await those who want to celebrate the start of October. The number of vendors lining main street this year is almost double last year.
Event Coordinator Miranda Henning said, "We have 56, 17 of them being food, and as for the bands, we have quite a different venue this year, so it should be a lot of fun today."
People come to Oktoberfest from all over the Magic Valley. One man from Hazelton says he tries to come every year.
Gale Keen said, "We've tried to come every year, unless the weather got too bad."
And along with seeing all the vendors, you can also come check out the car show. The fest also offers not one, but three beer gardens. You can also check out a variety of artwork along Main street. And if you missed out today, don't worry, it lasts from noon to 9 pm tomorrow.
