KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) _ A former clerk for the Wood River Valley
town of Bellevue has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $13,000
in water and sewer payments.

Lacey Ann Loughmiller, 30, of Richfield, pleaded guilty this
week to felony grand theft in 5th District Court.

The Idaho Mountain Express reports she reached a plea agreement
with prosecutors that recommends she spend 180 days in the county
jail instead of time in the state prison system. The recommendation
is not binding and sentencing is set for Dec. 1.

Loughmiller, a former clerk for the Bellevue Water and Sewer
Department, was charged in February with embezzling $13,800 between
May and December 2007. Court records allege she took the money from
utility payments and kept false records to hide her activities.
