The United Dairymen of Idaho has teamed up with the NFL to launch a new nutrition program.

Three middle schools in the Magic Valley will kick off fuel up to play. Gooding, Wendell and Jerome middle schools will use the program to get students thinking about choosing healthy foods, like grains, fruits and vegetables and dairy products.

Cheri Stori, Communications Director for United Dairymen of Idaho says, "We're going into schools and offering a very comprehensive program where students can act as leaders for the program and they get their peers to join them in healthy eating strategies that include the food groups to encourage which are fruits and vegetables, whole grains and of course low fat and non-fat dairy products."

The program is specifically aimed at middle school students because they begin to choose their own foods.

The United Dairymen will provide the nutrition part of the program, while the NFL will take the activity part.
