A man charged with numerous count of sexual misconduct with a child is set to go to trial; Franklin Ward Osterhoudt is sticking with going to trial in front of a jury which is slated to start October 27th.

Osterhoudt is charged with 5 counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of sixteen, one count of rape and one count of incest.

According to court records the case dates back to 2007, but the incidents date back between 2002 and 2006 involving a family member.

Osterhoudt had been wanted by the Twin Falls County Sheriff since 2006 and showed up on our Magic Valley’s Wanted segment several times.

At this time, Judge Richard Bevan plans to call 80 people for potential jurors. The prosecutor plans to call 7 witnesses and defense is looking at calling 8 to 9.

The defense also wanted to submit an article from the Twin Falls news paper as documentary evidence, he didn't say why.
