New livestock barn being built at Jerome Co. Fairgrounds

A new all purpose livestock barn is going up at the Jerome County Fairgrounds. Fair Manager Kathleen Diederich says the new building is 80 feet wide and 150 feet long; she says it's finally being built after having the money set aside for a year.

Diederich says they're hoping to have the occupancy permit by next spring. She says the city and county are teaming up to install new water lines, so the fairgrounds will have increased water pressure for the fire hydrants, and that project needs to be completed first.
