Man dies in early morning accident; meanwhile man in motorcycle incident still in serious condition

At around 4 Tuesday morning, the Idaho State Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on westbound I 84 in Jerome County.
According to reports Ricky Swensen, 44,Heyburn apparently had problems with his vehicle while traveling westbound in the interstate. He left his vehicle and was walking in the westbound lane when he was struck by a semi being driven by Richard Gebhardt, 64, of Meridian.
Swensen was thrown onto the north side of the interstate and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation however alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
Meanwhile a man involved in a motorcycle accident Monday is still in serous condition at a Boise hospital.
Julio Rodriguez, 44, attempted to pass a truck on a motorcycle when according to Idaho State Police he lost control and slid into the truck's rear tire.
Rodriguez received extensive injuries he is currently at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
