Old T.B Hospital Haunts for Halloween

By Brittany Cooper

There are many ways to scare people and the Boys Scouts, Cub Scouts and their family and friends were all out to do so. This past month they took over a section of the Get Inn Hotel in Gooding for a haunted house.

This is a fundraiser for them so they can raise money for camp - badges and other things.

CUB Scout Leader Jamie Salazar said, "We've been decorating it for a month and now we're really scaring people."

The hotel is on the site of the former Gooding College and T.B. hospital.

"A lot of people say it's haunted."
"The paranormal people will here tonight and show screens about activity and ghosts found here."

But at any rate - the actors came out from every direction and they tell me they really scare people - especially teenagers.

"You can hear them screaming from one side of the hotel to the other."

Treasurer and Secretary Heather Wright said, "We've had a lot of kids come out crying. On our first day we had a boy meet our hunchback and wouldn't even go in."

The facility is three stories and while the groups occupied one level this year, next year they may add another level for more spooky fun.
