Reconstruction will begin this week on two old bridges on Highway 30 near Hansen.
The bridge located at milepost 230 about three miles east of Hansen was built in 1933. The second bridge is near the outlet of Murtaugh Lake and was built in 1956.
Traffic on both bridges will be reduced to one lane during the winter construction project.
The south half of each bridge will be demolished this winter and its replacement will be built before next spring. The northern halves will be torn down and replaced next winter.
Traffic speeds will be limited to 35 miles an hour, while vehicles crossing the bridges will be limited to only eleven feet wide.
