The Twin Falls city engineer is suggesting a lower speed limit for a mile long section of Hankins Road.

Hankins Road south of Addison Avenue East is mainly residential, until it crosses an irrigation canal a ways north of Kimberly Road.

Right now the un-posted speed limit is 50 miles an hour. Idaho state law recommends a 35 mile an hour speed limit for areas like this.

The city of Twin Falls conducted a 'speed study' for this stretch of road, and the Twin Falls Traffic Safety Commission is recommending that the Twin Falls County Highway District review Hankins Road between Kimberly Road and Addison Avenue East.
