TF Co. Commissioners approve grant request

The Twin Falls County Commissioners approved the go-ahead of a request for a grant that would help to educate people about distracted driving. The grant would be a ten-thousand dollar grant from first federal.

It would go towards funding a 30-minute 'distracted driving' video for statewide distribution. The video would become a part of drivers ed, and drivers training courses state-wide.

Officials say technology has made driving in vehicles more of a danger, especially with the use of cell phones, and texting in cars.
It would cost about 30-thousand dollars to produce and distribute the video
