We recently mentioned that the trial for Traci Hadden might be moved out of Lincoln County due to excessive publicity. The 34 year old is accused of the attempted murder of her former father-in-law Craig Hadden, on April 1st of this year.

Fifth District Judge John K. Butler will preside over the case. A pre-trial conference for Hadden will be held in Gooding at 9 am November, 24th. Hadden's trial will be held in Jerome beginning on December 2nd. Before that, Hadden's trial on grand theft charges unrelated to the attempter murder case will begin in Shoshone on Tuesday, November 17th.

And in other court news, Christopher Allen Frix has been acquitted by a jury. According to court services, Frix was on trial for second degree kidnapping, and this afternoon a jury came back with the not-guilty verdict. Earlier he was sentenced to two years supervised probation on domestic violence and unlawful entry charges.

33 year old Frix was originally charged after police say he broke into his ex-wife's home on April fifth in Twin Falls - wearing only his underwear - while quoting biblical scripture - and refusing to open the door for law enforcement officers called to the scene.
