Idaho State Police say around 5:15 a van carrying 10 people was traveling eastbound on I-84 near milepost 189 when the driver, Twin Falls resident Carlos Campos Ramirez, 38, lost control on the ice and snow covered roadway.

The van slid into the median where it rolled. Evelia Montenegro, 56, was ejected and died at the scene.
Three children were ejected and treated at Minidoka Memorial Hospital with minor to serious injuries. Another child was ejected, and treated at Saint Luke's Magic Valley, then air lifted to Salt Lake City with critical injuries.

Three others were taken to hospitals in the area.
