Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter wants to keep lawmakers thinking about the Gem State's ongoing needs for transportation.

The governor has scheduled the third meeting of his task force on Modernizing Transportation Funding for December 3rd in Boise.

Task force members will examine how other states are changing their approaches to paying for road and bridge maintenance, as both state and federal dollars grow scarcer.

The task force was organized after Idaho legislators rejected otter's plans to increase the gasoline tax to pay for road repairs.

The panel's deadline for reporting their findings is December of next year.
