Local man charged with agg. battery and grand theft will go to trial

It looks like a Twin Falls County man charged with aiding and abetting in robbery, aggravated battery and grand theft will proceed to trial later this month.

Ramiro Ramirez-Ramirez is accused of threatening and robbing Robert Barton of Buhl on May 14th.

Christopher Taylor and Richard Pena Junior were also arrested in connection with Barton allegedly being stabbed 12 times with a screwdriver.

The case took a strange twist several months ago, when Barton and Pena’s sister, were arrested after allegedly offering to change their testimony against Taylor in exchange for money.

Ramirez-Ramirez is currently set to go on trial December 16th.
