Tuesday patrons showed up at the polls in The Minidoka School District to vote on a proposed school bond.

The unofficial results posted on the website show that a total of 848 people voted in yesterday's school bond election.

There were 720 'yes' votes and 128 'no' votes at the polls; that means just under 85 percent of voters approved the measure, which means that the school bond officially passed.

The Gooding School District also had a bond election Tuesday. A total of 821 ballots were cast, with 504 votes in favor of the measure and 317 votes against it.

However the votes "for" the school bond only totaled 61 percent, and the bond needed a 66 and two-thirds percent super majority to pass; as a result, the Gooding school bond failed by 46 votes.
