By Benito Baeza

Some of the best archers in the world are competing with some of the newest in the Magic Valley this weekend.

The Idaho Field Archer Association State Indoor Shoot is being held at
Advanced archery in Twin Falls. There are 92 competitors and 24 of them are youth between 7 and 17.

Magic Valley Bow Hunters President Brandon Higley said, "It's a one on one sport its not a contact sport. It's with yourself shooting, it's an individual sport, where each person does the best they can do."

There are several national and world champions competing together with people that are just beginning the sport.

Higley said, "Total novices, who never shot a tournament before to people who have shot for world champions and have won."

It’s also thought of as a great family sport. There are actually several families competing. The shoot continues on Sunday from 8 am to the afternoon.
