Twin Falls, Idaho - The biggest changes to Washington Street North start tomorrow; the Idaho Transportation Department says the widening of Washington from Filer Avenue to Cheney will be a little more than a mile.

Work is starting at the North College intersection so it will be finished before school starts; other work along the street will get underway next week.

Like the first stretch being worked on now, traffic will be restricted to one lane each way.

Once finished the roadway will have storm water drains, center medians with turn bays, bicycle lanes, lights and sidewalk.

Meanwhile, a $2.75 million reconstruction project of Bob Barton Road, west of Jerome is wrapping up; the route should be reopened to traffic possibly as early as Wednesday.

Tuesday, construction crews were in the process of finishing up shoulder grading and installing fences.

The overall project from Lincoln Avenue to the 400 West Road took a little bit longer than expected due to wet weather over the past couple of months
