A Day For The Dogs
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Recently the City of Twin Falls had decided to build a new park, designated strictly for man's best friend. But the dream of "Baxters Park" is still a ways off.
At Monday nights Twin Falls City Council Meeting, the idea of holding a fundraiser was brought to the council with the intent of raising the funds needed to get the park off the ground. The idea of holding an all day swim day for your dog was the number one idea. On Saturday, September 15th, Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls will be closed off to allow for your dogs to run free. For 10 dollars a person you can bring your four legged friend down to the lake and let them swim and run free for a full afternoon. Normally dogs are banned from being at the park, at any time. But the city felt this was a good way to help raise money and awareness for the new Dog Park. Again that will take place on Saturday September, 15th from 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon.
