A Former Oakley Teacher Faces Jury In Court

Cassia County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A former Oakley teacher was in court.

62-year-old Alvin Andrew was charged with two felony counts of lewd conduct and sex abuse with a child under 16.

After the first trial ended in mistrial and several postponements a seated jury panel heard the alleged victim in a sexual abuse case.

Officials say, he allegedly had sexual contact with a 14-year-old female student at Oakley high school in 2007.

Andrew worked at the school from September 2004 until August 2007.

He will be sentenced at a later date.
