Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Across the globe people of all ages are sitting in their homes playing with whatever new toy or gadget they got for Christmas this year.
And they couldn't be happier.
But there is always the other side to consider...
As most American shoppers know, the days following Christmas can be just as chaotic as the weeks leading up.
That fact can be attributed to the massive amounts of gifts returning to malls and shops across the land.
This afternoon we spoke to a local returns expert and asked him why so many are so quick to hit the return lanes.
And what are the most common returns?
"Mostly cloths... Soft lining cloths. The reason for that is we're always guessing the wrong size. I know when I go shopping for my family members or my wife, it's the same thing. I'll probably get the wrong size, the wrong color, wrong style... not a big deal. We all get that one gift, maybe one to many ties. Me personally, I would probably let it settle down a day or two and sneak it in and do a return." Said a Senior Team leader at Target
Now if you still feel the need to return your unwanted holiday gifts, here are just a few tips for making the process less of a hassle.
First, make sure the person who gave you your gift is unaware of your betrayal.
And finally, a receipt is as good as gold.
You might be able to get the job done without one... but it's not recommended.
