"A League of their Own" was filming back in 1992 and tells the story of the real women of the All–American Girls Professional Baseball League of the 1940s and 1950s.
To help celebrate the films 20th anniversary, star of the movie Geena Davis made a special appearance and talked to the crowd a little about what it was like making this true to life movie.
Davis, who played the role of Dottie Hinson in the film, now looks back over the past 20 years and can't help but feel a sense of pride knowing that the character she portrayed has inspired countless women across the globe.
“Yeah it just means a lot to me. It’s so kind of iconic in a way to be able to play what these women were. You know so many people didn’t know about what they were doing back then, really playing ball and doing as great as the guys.”
