A Local Elementary School Receives Prestigious Award
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A Twin Falls Elementary School is receiving a prestigious award.
Harrison Elementary School is being presented with Imagine Learning's World Class School Award. Imagine Learning is a program designed to teach students English. The award celebrates schools for their stellar usage, above–and–beyond enthusiasm, and amazing dedication to giving their students the best in language and literacy instruction. The English as a Second Language teacher says the award is a testament to how hard staff at all levels within the school are working. "We have a lot of support from classroom teachers and our administrators. Every person in this school is working together to help them acquire this second language," said Ana Nail, ESL teacher, Harrison Elementary School. Last year there were only twelve schools nationwide to receive the award along with Harrison Elementary School. There are eleven different nationalities at the Harrison. Sixteen of school's thirty–five ESL students graduated out of the program last year. That was a record number for the school. Comments ( |
