Location Change Is Helping The Haunted Swamp

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) If you're looking for a spooky tune, Magic Mountain's haunted forest is now a haunted swamp on West Park Avenue here in Twin Falls.

High gas prices and a struggling economy prompted the owners of the haunted attraction to make the change. The owners are hoping the new location, closer to Twin Falls, will help increase their business.

"One thing that we've noticed is it's a little bit warmer down here in the valley. Up in the mountain, it was always cold and we were always fighting snow and mud. And so it's been a little easier to do it down here in the swamp. And it's easier for people to come, but more than anything it's easier for our haunters and our workers," said Suzette Miller, owner of the Haunted Swamp.

The haunted swamp owners tell us that business is up following the move. They expect business to continue increasing as we get closer to Halloween and once football season is over with. The haunted swamp is open Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm until midnight.
