African Children’s Choir To Perform

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The African Children's Choir rehearsed Thursday morning.

The choir is made up of children from Uganda between 9 and 11 years old.

The children perform around the world for twelve months before returning to Africa to finish their schooling.

The choir’s pastor and spokesperson shares with us the purpose and importance of the program…

"Our main purpose for the choir is raising awareness for Africa's most vulnerable children. So these children who are in the choir are from very extreme poverty cases, and when they make it into our organization to the African Children's Choir Music For Life, it's a free ticket for them to have a free education through college," Anthony Samanya explains.

The African Children's Choir will be performing Thursday evening only, at seven p.m. at the Twin Falls Reformed Church.
