Air Force Displays Muscle Car At Air Show
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Air Magic Valley didn't just feature high–tech planes, it also showcased high–powered muscle cars.
Take the Air Force Project Supercar. Not your average mustang, right?
The display is to bring an awareness for the Air Force and those who are in different career fields.
SSGT. Ben Merritt says, "there are seven airmen that actually helped with the design of this car and working on the car and if they can do sheet metal, this is the kind of stuff they can in the air force and you can use. The Air Force trains you and you can use those things outside the air force."
This car according to SSGT Merritt, was driven at Nellis Air Force Base, but they only made it up to 180 miles an hour.
That's because they ran out of runway.
