Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Federal Aviation Administration announced on Friday that beginning on April 7th, 149 air traffic control towers will be closed.

The closing are needed to meet the required automatic spending cuts mandated by the recent sequester.

Here in Idaho, the airports affected include the ones in Idaho Falls, Lewiston, Pocatello and Friedman Memorial in Hailey.
