Twin Falls Animal Shelter's Food Supply Running Low

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A local animal shelter needs the community's help.

The Twin Falls Animal Shelter's food pantry is running low again. This supply goes to local residents who need the food for their pets.

Shelter experts feel it's an important cause to keep pets with their owners.

The shelter also needs special food to feed to their four legged guests.
A consistent food base keeps the pets healthy and their stomachs settled.

"Our pet pantry is becoming depleted again, lots of people in the community are really struggling and they're needing some help so if you can afford to bring us a bag of doggy food, kitten food to help the community have to bring them to the animal shelter, that's greatly appreciated," adds Kathleen Olmstead, Twin Falls Animal Shelter.

A major way the community can help control the pet population is through spaying and neutering. Olmstead says even though their adoptions are going well, they're still seeing an influx of animals entering the shelter.
