Art & Soul Of Magic Valley Winners Announced

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The winners of the 3rd Annual Art & Soul of Magic Valley, sponsored by Magic Valley Arts Council, were announced this weekend.

Winner of the Dr. Alan and Fran Frost-Frost Family Fund Award and recipient of $10,000 was Jacob Novinger from Gooding, ID with “Flaming Giraffe”.

Winner of the Jeannie Sligar-Shakstad 2nd Place Award and recipient of $5,000 was Scot Horton Buhl, ID with “Magic Valley’s Mountain Lion”.

Winner of the Gregg and Sallee Middlekauff 3rd Place Award of and recipient $2,500 was Kay Taylor Affleck from Paul, ID with “Mama’s Boy”.

Winner of the Lynwood Shopping Center/Lynwood Merchants Award was Robert Moore from Albion, ID with “Winter’s Declaration”.

Winner of the Maurice A. Bowers Trust Award was Caleb Meyer from Twin Falls, ID with “Showers of Light”

Winner of the Robert and Linda Sojka Award was Julee Willow from Twin Falls, ID with “Linger”

Winner of the Randy Hansen Automotive Award was Boris (Bill) Garibyan from Twin Falls, ID with “September in Rock Creek Park”

Winner of the Michael K. Taylor, MD and Jason T. Halverson, MD Award was Greg Bartlett from Twin Falls, ID with “Made in America”

Winner of the Art and Bonnie Hoag Award was Doug Pollow from Twin Falls, ID with “Beauty and the Bridge”

Winner of the First Federal Saving Bank Award was Tim Elam from Twin Falls, ID with “Pole Creek Evening”

Winner of the Dr. Harry and Jan Brumbach Award was Riley Bohon from Heyburn with “Chick-A-Dee”

Winner of the Charles and Carolyn Coiner Award was Silas Thompson from Declo, ID with “Niagara Falls of the West”

Winner of the Susan’s Antiques and Collectibles Award was Connie Wood from Hagerman, ID with “No Strings Attached”

Winner of the Curtis and Mardo Eaton Award was Shene Bingham from Dietrich, ID with “Untitled”

Winner of the Dr. Chris an Anna Scholes Award was Ken Newman from Cambridge, ID with “Turbulence on Horse Creek Red Wood on Steel”

In the contest for 2013 Best Venue there was a tie between Middlekauff Auto Group and Randy Hansen Automotive.

A new prize was awarded as Twin Falls Kiwanis announced the winner of their first Art & Soul Youth Prize to Anna Jensen, Xavier Charter School student. The youth-focused organization selected 13-year-old Jensen’s work from five youth contestants, ages 18 and under. Jensen received $200.
