B.A.S.E. Jumper Dies After Chute Malfunctions

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Rescue crews were called out to the Snake River Canyon by Twin Falls shortly after 8 Friday evening.
According to initial reports a person was attempting a base jump from the north side of the canyon by Shoshone Falls.
His parachute became tangled and he ended up on the side of the canyon about 100 yards above the river.
Crew from both Twin Falls and Jerome County were called to the scene.
According to Lieutenant Dan Kennedy one jumper has died.
Three other jumpers were involved.
It's not known at this time if they were injured.
