The sale of alcohol was introduced to the Twin Falls County Fair in 2011.

The fair board voted 4 to 2 to allow sales.

This year, the beer garden remains in effect, with steps in place to make sure the fair remains a family friendly event.

Sales begin in the afternoon, end at 10 pm, and people can only drink in designated areas.

Security is present to make sure the area stays under control.
"We got very good security here, and if anyone gets out of line, they are immediately escorted off the grounds,” says fair manager John Pitz.

Beer sales are an important profit point for the fair.

Gate prices are meant to be kept low, with the profit margin coming from the beer garden and food sales.
