Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Filipino-American Association is inviting residents across the Magic Valley to eat for a cause.

They’re hosting the event "Dinner for a Cause" for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

All of the money raised will go to the Philippines National Red Cross, in order to help those that need basic necessities.

Thousands were injured and millions were displaced from their homes by the powerful storm that hit The Philippines November 7th.

The Fil-Am Association wants to give back during the season of giving, especially to those who are struggling due to the aftermath.

"Come and enjoy while giving; it’s Christmas time, it's the time of the year where in, we have to show our kindness and affection for other people, especially the less fortunate," explains Marylen Sierra, president of Fil-Am Association.

There will be a barrage of Filipino and American cuisine, along with live entertainment. The event will take place Saturday at the Senior Center from 6pm to 9pm.
