A bike rodeo was held today at St. Luke's Magic Valley.
The hospital and Ride Idaho teamed up to bring the event free to the public.
The day included helmet checks and bike inspections
Cones also served as a way for riders to practice their skills, such as turning and stopping.
In addition to the lessons, attendees had a chance to enter their name in a drawing to win two bikes.
Director of Ride Idaho Earl Grief explains the need to help out young riders. He explains, "we've got one stand where we fit them with their helmets. If they don't have a good one we're giving them helmets."
The event coincided with day 7 of Ride Idaho's 400 mile bike race.
In its 10th year, 250 riders participated this week.
