Blaine County Looking To Alternate Ways To Fund Road Repairs

By Paul Johnson

Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Blaine county commissioners are tackling the road maintenance issue.
Over the years, the county has relied on the state funded gasoline tax for the majority of its roadway infrastructure maintenance.
At a meeting Tuesday, it was made clear that because that tax money has reduced drastically in recent years.
Another form of funding infrastructure is needed.
The idea of a bond or levy was discussed.
No official decision was made at the meeting.
Over the next couple months the commissioners will continue the conversation and eventually choose a path that is best for the county.
