Blanket Drive Underway In Twin Falls
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A blanket drive is underway to help bring warmth to the community.
According to officials in this field, there are approximately 1,000 individuals who are homeless just in Twin Falls County. So area agencies have teamed up to put on this blanket drive. Anything that is new or lightly used will help. "Different sizes, I don't care. I need bed rolls, I need sleeping bags and I need blankets," says Verna Christenson, Vice-President, Safe Harbor. Major Ed Patterson, Salvation Army Southern Idaho Emergency Services Director adds, "those blankets will go through Christmas, for the homeless, for the general welfare and just to be given out when people need them in other words." If you would like to help, please drop off your blankets at the Salvation Army located at 348 4th Avenue North in Twin Falls. Comments ( |
