Southern Idaho (KMVT-TV/KTWT-TV) Snow and strong winds will create hazardous conditions across all of Southern Idaho and Northern Nevada on Tuesday.

A strong winter storm is moving Southeast out of the Pacific Northwest towards the Magic Valley. Snow will develop Monday Evening and into Monday Night. As temperatures begin to fall into the upper 20's and lower 30's, roadways could start to become snow covered and slick.

The big story will be very strong winds. Winds could gust as high as 40 to 50 mph. These strong of winds will create blowing and drifting and near whiteout conditions. Blizzard conditions are possible in Southern Twin Falls County and in the Jackpot area. Highway 93 from Twin Falls to Jackpot will likely become very snow covered and hazardous by Tuesday Morning.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for Twin Falls, Jerome, Gooding, Lincoln, Blaine, Minidoka and Cassia Counties. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Southern Twin Falls County. A Blizzard Warning is in effect for Elko County including the Jackpot area.
