Boston, Massachusetts ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) There were a number of people from Idaho who were running in the Boston Marathon.

At least 90 people were from Idaho.

Various reports received by Idaho's First News are that many are safe at this time.

We talked with a Boise resident who was in Boston during the marathon.

She explains what happened after her sister, who is a marathon runner, headed off to the finish line.

"The people on the sidelines of the race let her borrow a phone and she called us and told us what happened. We quickly tried to make it back toward the finish line a quickly as possible. All of those streets were blocked so we weren't able to, we just met up with her at our hotel rooms which is a couple blocks away from the finish line," Melissa McGrath, a Boise Resident explains.

McGrath and her entire family are safe at this time.
